Macross Weapon's

The enormous Mecha and Variable Fighters of Macross are not the only weapons in Macross. There are many human scale weapons that are both seen and used by the UN Armed Forces, and other groups and individuals within the series' and OVA's. Below I have listed a number of these weapons based on which series or OVA they originate from, with rpg stats for those weapons also.

Macross Era (Original series and Macross Zero)

H&K CLMP .45 Cal Caseless Machine Pistol

The Standard Sub-machine gun of the UN Armed Forces before, during and after Space War I & II. New advances in technology allowed renowned weapons manufacturer Heckler & Koch to create a compact sub-machine for the UN Armed Forces using caseless rounds which permitted the weapon to carry more 45 calibre rounds than an older style cased bullet weapon.

Howard AR-21 5.56 mm Caseless Machine Rifle

A popular assault rifle sed by UN Forces, and Police Forces within human controlled space, and colonisation fleets.

Giat Famas G2 Assault Rifle

The original Famas, (Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de St-Etienne,) G1 rifle was used by the French Armed Forces and proved to be very popular with all of the branches of the French Forces. The Famas fires the standard 5.5mm NATO round used by the vast majority of firearms in the western world, (M-16, SA-80, etc.) The Famas G2 comes in a number of variants including a sniper version, Sub-machinegun version, and an M203 40mm Grenade launcher fitted version. The Famas was adopted by the UN Forces due to the proven track record of the Famas.

IMI Tavor Tar-21 Assault Rifle

The Tavor is a state of the art new assault rife manufactured by IMI, (Israeli Military Industries,) orignally for the Israeli Armed Forces to replace their aging Galil rifles. The Tavor is available in a number of different variations including a grenade launcher equipped version, sniper rifle type, and a 9mm version. It is lightweight and easy to use which is why the UN Armed Forces have chosen it as one of their rifles of choice for UN personnel.

Macross Plus Era

H&K PD8 Semi-Automatic Pistol

The standard sidearm of the UN Armed Forces. This 10 mm caseless pistol features a laser sight that can be attached to the front of the weapon if so desired. The laser sight is highly accurate and designed to be aesthetically pleasing and blend in with the weapon.

H&K Sub-Machine Gun

The standard UN Sub-machine gun, designed visually along the lines of the 20th Century MP-5 range of sub-machine guns manufactured by Heckler & Kock, yet featuring a larger clip this smg carries a higher count of ammunition and a higher calibre round giving it a much larger kick than previous designs.

A popular assault rifle sed by UN Forces, and Police Forces within human controlled space, and colonisation fleets.

9 mm Caseless Hand Pistol

9mm caseless pistol available to the military and civilians alike. It is commonly preferred by people wishing to carry a weapon that can be easily concealed within clothing so as not to give a discernable armed presence. A favourite of officials, bodyguards and criminals.

Varauta Laser Pistol

Based upon Varauta designs this Laser pistol is identical in performance to the UN equivalents, however it features a slightly more compact size than the present UN laser pistol.

Varauta Laser Carbine Rifle

Designed for ease of use by brainwashed Varauta soldiers, and also built to be compact, the Carbine Laser Rifle is an excellent weapon with good range for a carbine, and is simple to use.

Zolan Laser/Stun Pistol

The Zolan Defence Forces Laser pistol is a two mode weapon. In its primary mode it functions as a laser pistol, however its secondary mode allows the user to stun an opponent, however this must be done at a distance of greater than 5 feet as any closer will have the exact same effect as a direct laser blast, rather than its stun effect.
