Noted below are details of the various uniforms worn by the UN Armed Forces, and their opponents throughout the ages. This is not an exhaustive list and will be updated as more images become available.
Macross Saga/DYRL (2009)
Above are the normal UN Spacy Uniforms for male and female personnel. The dark reddish brown colour is the colour worn by Bridge Officers, The white version of the same uniform is that worn by the First Officer of a ship. Male personnel wear the uniform shown far right. Regular crew have a tan coloured version of these uniforms. The uniform remains the same for crew, but the colour changes according to position.
On the left above is the combat flight suit worn by Meltran pilots when going into battle. It is a simple suit providing basic atmopheric and damage protection. The central figure is a UN Spacy Warship Captain, wearing the Command Officers uniform. A more formal version of the standard UN Spacy uniform. To the right is the standard UN Spacy Variable Fighter Pilots jumpsuit. It is lightweight jumpsuit commonly worn underneath the flightsuit.
On the left above is a Zentraedi Commander, (Macross Series) wearing the standard Zentraedi Uniform, although slightly modified with the additional cape. Officers wear the same reddish-brown coloured uniforms, and Soldiers wear a khaki green version. In the centre is a Zentraedi Fleet Commander (DYRL) wearing an armoured uniform. There are few Fleet Commanders, and they will be found wearing this uniform or similar. On the right of the above image is a Zentraedi Advisor. The cloak conceals his weak form, (weaker than the average Zentraedi,) concentrating everything on his enhanced cranium/brain.
Above left is the Heavy Zentraedi Body Armour worn by foot soldiers and non-mecha troops. Some mecha troops will also prefer to wear this type in preference to the Light Body Armour shown above right, which is normally worn by mecha troops inside their mecha, and interior ships crew when not wearing uniform.
Macross M3 (2014-2030)
Above are the flightsuit and uniforms worn by members of the Dancing Skulls Squadron, an Elite VF Squadron commanded by Max & Milia Jenius.
Macross Plus (2040)
Above is the standard UN Duty Uniform worn by UNAF, UNSM, and Variable Fighter Pilots,(when required to wear full uniform.) UN Spacy and UN Navy personel wear an almost identical uniform, the only difference being the UNS/UNN uniform having long sleeves.
Above is the standard UN Spacy warship Captains uniform, it is also the same uniform worn by the UN Navy's Captains. The rank badge denotes this Officer to be a Vice Admiral, as can be seen in the bottom image above.
Above are Ships crew, specifically Sensor Operator crew working below the Bridge. Bridge Crews Uniforms are bright red and seen on the left. Once again the uniform is the same, however the colour denotes the difference in position.
Above is a UN Air Force General. His uniform is similar to the Warship Captains uniform of the UN Spacy and UN Navy, although much more simple, like that of the lower ranked personnel of the UNAF, UNSM, and Variable Fighter Pilots.
The person on the left carrying the MP-9 Submachine gun is a UN Military Policeman, UN Security onboard the SDF-1 wear this Navy Blue Uniform with gold piping. The person on the right is a UNAF Soldier/Security Guard wearing his Duty Uniform and kevlar helmet carrying an Assault rifle slung over his soldier. Ther Uniform on the right is the standard UNAF duty uniform.
On the left is the standard UN Armed Forces Variable Fighter Pilot jumpsuit which is worn by VF pilots when not required to be in full uniform. This is normally when they are waiting for but not actively on combat alert when they will be required to be waiting in their Flight suits (see right)

Macross 7 (2045)

Above is the standard female Uniform for all Colony Fleet personnel of around 2045. Bridge personnel on Colony Fleets do not wear red uniforms but white ones. regular ships crew wear a very light tan/cream coloured version of the same uniform.
Colony Fleets Commanders (as shown above) wear slightly more ornate versions of the standard UN Colony Fleet uniform, which includes a Privateer style Overcoat/Cloak. Their uniform like that of the rest of the bridge crew is also white. Their rank badges are mainly purple which denote them as the Commander of the Colony Fleet. Regular Colony Fleet Captains wear similar uniforms but less ornate, and stick more closely to standard UN Uniforms.
Above left is the standard male Colony Fleet uniform being worn by a VF-17 pilot. His rank badge is on his right breast and his Squadron patch is on his left. The right hand image shows him in his VF-17 Flightsuit, with Squadron patch now on the right breast.
Above are images of the standard UN Spacy Colony Fleet Variable Fighter Pilots flightsuit of 2045. It follows the tan and cream colourings of the regular crew of the Colony Fleet.
Macross VF-X(2048)
Left is a regular Bridge Officers uniform, as denoted by the Red colouring of the Uniform . Regular ships crew as per usual would have khaki/ coloured uniforms. The middle image is a VF Engineer wearing their regular uniform when working within a pressurised hanger bay or groundside hanger. On the right is the improved standard VF pilots flightsuit with improved helmet. The flightsuit colouring has changed to a darker colour as the pilot is Special Forces.
Above are Rogue Zentraedi terrorists, the image on the left is a regular micronian Zentraedi pilot in flightsuit. The person on the right is the pilot of a Pheyos Advanced Variable Zentraedi Fighter, a fighter that is believed to exceed even the abilities of the VF-22 and VF-19 by intergrating UN and Zentraedi technology.
Above is the Zentraedi Commander of the Rogue Zentraedi Terrorist group that kidnapped the Milky Doll pop group in 2048, leading to the UN Armed Forces having to rescue them under the Mission name of , Operation Orpheus.
Macross VF-X2(2050)
Above is the new female Officers uniform for UN Spacy personnel. The colouring on these uniforms are the same for all uniforms, the only difference is the colour, which Bridge Officers have the traditional bright red on their colour as seen on the left image.
The new UN Spacy Variable Fighter Pilot Special Forces Flightsuit as worn by UN Special Forces VF Pilots, which is a dark Navy blue in colour., and very supple to allow the wearer better movement whilst flying.
