BACKGROUND
Used for urban combat this large cumbersome looking mecha is rather agile and deadly. It is capable of engaging mutiple attackers and is able to defend itself against most of the UN Spacy mecha. First encountered in Anti-UN forces this mecha is possibly the first of many that will plague UN Spacy forces for years to come

NOTES:
- Destroying the sensor eye of the GjagravanVa will knock out the mecha's major sensor systems (including infrared, night vision, and thermal). Radar and communications will be unaffected, but the mecha will be at -4 to strike. The sensor eye is a very difficult target to hit, however; -5 to strike in addition to velocity penalties.
- Depleting the MDC of the main body will destroy the mecha and kill the pilot.
- Each engine thruster destroyed reduces the speed of the GjagravanVa by 15%. If the main engine is destroyed while the battlepod is in a planetary atmosphere it will crash.
SPEED:
- WALKING:
- 30 mph
- HOVER/SKIM:
- 55 mph just above ground level

CARGO:
Small compartment behind crew's seats for personal belongings.
POWER PLANT:
Thermonuclear reaction furnace
WEAPON SYSTEMS:
- HEAVY PARTICLE CANNON: Mounted on the right side of the mecha and the mecha's main armament is a large particle cannon. This cannon is capable of firing in a 90 degree arc of fire forward and above the mecha and is capable of firing in a 30 degree maximum firing arc to the right side of the mecha.
- PRIMARY PURPOSE: Heavy Assault
- SECONDARY PURPOSE: Anti-Mecha
- RANGE: 10,000 feet
- DAMAGE: 1D10x10 +50 M.D.
- RATE OF FIRE: Once every other melee
- PAYLOAD: Unlimited
- MEDIUM-RANGE HIGH MANEUVERABILITY MISSILE LAUNCHERS (2): Mounted on the top of the mecha is a large Medium range missle launchers designed for a new type High Maneuverability Missile. The missile launchers use a shared missile bay. If one launcher is destroyed, the other launcher can use the others missiles at half the rate of fire.
- PRIMARY PURPOSE: Heavy Assault
- MISSILE TYPE: Any Zentraedi or UN Spacy Medium-ranged High Maneuverability missiles may be used.
- RANGE: Varies with missile type. Typically 50 to 80 miles (80 to 128 km)
- DAMAGE: Varies with missile type. Typically 3D4x10 M.D..
- RATE OF FIRE: Volleys of 1 to 4 missiles per launcher. One volley counts as one attack
- PAYLOAD: 30 missiles total
- RAPID FIRING PULSE LASER: Mounted above the quad barrel gun cluster on the top of the Gjagravan Va is a rapid firing pulse laser. This rotating gun can fire in a 180 degree arc of fire forward of the mecha.
- PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assault
- SECONDARY PURPOSE: Defense
- RANGE: 8000 ft
- DAMAGE: 2D10 M.D. for a short burst, 4D10 M.D. for a heavy burst, 6D10 M.D. for a maximum burst
- RATE OF FIRE: 8 short, 4 heavy, or 2 maximum bursts per melee
- PAYLOAD: Unlimited
- QUAD-BARREL GUN CLUSTER: Mounted forward of the Gjagravan Va is a quad-barrel guncluster. This gun is fixed in the forward position and can only fire in the line of sight.
- PRIMARY PURPOSE: Anti-Mecha
- SECONDARY PURPOSE: Assault
- RANGE: 4000 feet
- DAMAGE: Does 6D6 M.D. for a short burst, 1D6 x 10 M.D. for a long burst, or 2D6 x 10 for a full melee burst.
- RATE OF FIRE: Equal to the number of combined attacks of the pilot.
- PAYLOAD: 600 rounds, equal to 60 short bursts, 30 long bursts, or 15 full melee bursts. Once the gun cluster is out of ammo, it must be reloaded back at base.
- CHAFF/ FLARE LAUNCHERS (6): Mounted on the upper forward legs are the mecha's primary defense against incoming missiles. When enemy missiles are detected a canister can be launched which will explode in the path of incoming targets. It releases both flares and chaff which will confuse most tracking systems except for optical.
- PRIMARY PURPOSE: Defense
- PAYLOAD: 6 cansisters
- EFFECT: -5 to strike for incoming IR and Radar guided missiles.
- DURATION: The cloud will dissipate after about 30 seconds (2 melee rounds) usually.
STANDARD EQUIPMENT FOR THE DEFENDER:
- COMBAT COMPUTER: The GjagrvanVa is equipped with a moderately powerful combat computer, much more complex than anything found in traditional Zentraedi combat mecha. The combat computer tracks and identifies specific enemy targets, and has a database of over 800 images stored in memory. The computer can identify and track up to 120 targets simultaneously.
- EXTERNAL AUDIO PICKUP: Range: 300 ft (91.5 m). A sound amplification system that can pick up normal conversation up to 300 feet away.
- GROUND SENSOR SYSTEM: Range: 1000 ft (300 m) Seismic sensors allows the detection of ground units and major troop movements, as well as natural geological phenomena.
- HEAT AND RADIATION SHIELDS: Special shielding prevents the penetration of life threatening heat and radiation. A radiation detection and alarm system are linked with the shields and will sound an alarm if there is a rupture in the shields and what the levels of radiation are.
- HEAT SENSORS: Range: 1200 ft (400 m) A heat sensor allows the mecha to detect heat emanations.
- LASER TARGETING SYSTEM: Range: 100 miles (160 km). Used for increased accuracy in the striking of enemy targets and is partly responsible for the mecha's strike bonus.
- LOUDSPEAKER: A loudspeaker system is built into the craft, which can be used to amplify the pilot's voice up to 90 decibels.
- OPTICS: INFRARED: Range: 2000 feet (610 m). This optical system projects a beam of infrared light that is invisible to the normal eye, but detectable by the mecha's sensors. The system allows the pilot to detect hidden/concealed objects by their IR reflectiveness. The beam will be visible to anyone with IR sensitive optics, however.
- OPTICS: NIGHTVISION: Range: 2000 feet (610 m). A passive light image intensifier that emits no light of its own, but relies on ambient light which is electronically amplified to produce a visible picture.
- RADAR: 200 mile (480 km) range.
- RADIO/VIDEO COMMUNICATION: Long range, directional communications system with satellite relay capabilities. Range: 300 miles (480 km) or can be boosted indefinitely via satellite relay.
- RADIO AND VIDEO RECORDER: A standard recording suite allows the crew to monitor and record observations.
- SELF-DESTRUCT: To prevent capture by the UN Spacy, the mecha is equipped with a series of explosive charges intended to destroy the mecha in case of capture or loss of power. The explosive is chemical-based and can be detonated with a touch of a button, even if the engines and power systems of the battlepod have been destroyed. The explosion will instantly kill the pilot, destroy the mecha, and inflict 2D4x10 M.D. to everything within a 50 foot (15 m) radius around the battlepod.
- TACTICAL LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM: The mecha is pressurized and provides enough air and water to support a crew for up to 1 week.
